"...these ruinous castle walls with evocative stories - a place for sleepy afternoons..."

Description |

The castle at Nunney was built in the 1370's and damaged in the English Civil War. It is a great place to discover and explore with the family or friends. Bring a picnic, sit and notice the images of the castle reflected in the water of the moat.

This is a place where locals come on sunny afternoons to idle away the day with a book, a blanket and good company. But equally where families come whilst parents relax, kids can run and discover the old history of this once bustling place - because for heaven's sake it was once and still remains a castle!

But watch out near the moat edge if you bring kids with you!
